Marigold MacRae, Adelaide 2015

Event Date and Time:

Friday, February 27, 2015 - 12:00pm

Friday 27th February to Sunday 1st March, 2015

We look forward to welcoming Mrs. Marigold MacRae and her daughter, Baroness Miranda van Lynden to Adelaide.

Friday 27th February – A tour of the McLaren Vale Wineries with lunch at a winery or restaurant en route. (Lunch at own expense). Travel will be by air-conditioned bus, leaving from the Convention Centre, North Terrace at 10am and returning at 4pm. This tour takes in an area where MacRaes settled at Willunga – Aldinga with McRae families arriving in Adelaide and Port Adelaide on the “Tomatin” in 1840. The late Dr. Colin McRae of Murray Bridge wrote wonderful newsletters for the “Tomatin McRaes”. Several descendants are members of the Clan MacRae Society. There will be wine tasting at McLaren Vale. (We have been informed that a fee of $3 to $5 is charged by every winery but deducted from the purchase of a bottle of wine.)

Lunch will be at a winery or eatery arranged by the bus company. Each selects and pays for his or her meal as this is not included in the Tour cost of $40.
